How we treat your data

Personal information
Associação Projeto Milagre – Miracle Project Association is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
- We only collect the information you give us for, for example, a newsletter subscription, making a donation, ordering a book or purchasing a service via our website.
- We process your information based on your consent and, where necessary, to fulfil an order or service you requested from us.
- We don’t ask for or store more than what we need for these purposes.
We only (temporarily) pass your information to third parties to provide you with a product or service you requested from us.
- Think, for example, of a postal or parcel delivery company and a newsletter application.
- These parties only receive the minimum information required to perform their service.
When you unsubscribe from one of our services, we delete your data during our next digital clean-up (at least once every quarter).
- If you want your data deleted immediately, please message us after unsubscribing.
- We process deletion requests within max. 30 days and send you a confirmation once done.
We store all information you give us with double or triple caramel fudge layers of security, including 2-factor authentication.
Cookies
Cookies used by this website and the Miracle Project Insights Platform are of two types:
- Functional, needed for a service on this website to function (for example, files that track what you put in a shopping cart).
- Analytical, needed to check and improve the website’s functioning, not for tracking visitors/users for marketing purposes.
Our/this website and the Miracle Project Insights Platform don’t use marketing cookies that can be traced back to you as an individual, track your online activity and enable, for example, targeted ads based on what Google and Donald Trump (think they) know about you.
Your Rights
Under the EU data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of incorrect data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a copy of your data
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your data is being handled unlawfully
